Finpecia 1mg is used to treat male pattern baldness only and not any other type of baldness.æ It addresses the root cause of this baldness.æ It stimulates hair growth and prevents loss of hair from the scalp including the front of the scalp.æ Finpecia 1mg contains finasteride which prevents testosterone from converting to DHT.æ DHT causes the hair follicles to shrink thus leading to thinner hair and ultimately no hair at all.æ The accumulation of DHT in the hair follicles is prevented by finasteride.æ It also inhibits the action of the type II 5alpha-reductase enzyme which is mainly responsible for converting male testosterone to DHT.
