Hormone replacement therapy or HRT to help with peri and postmenopausal symptoms.

Active Ingredient

Marketed Name
Progynova 2mg

Progynova 2mg (Oestradiol) is used to treat distressing symptoms that occur during the peri and postmenopausal period like hot and cold flushes, mood swings, vaginal dryness and itching, irregular or heavy periods, and night sweats.  It also helps with postmenopausal osteoporosis, which happens due to lower levels of estrogen and bone thinning during menopause.  Oestradiol prevents bone loss and protects patients from potential fractures.  It is also used in transgender hormone therapy for developing female characteristics.  In some cases, it is also used to treat prostate cancer in men.

Dosage and Administration

Progynova 2mg (Oestradiol) should be taken as always under a doctor’s guidance.  Tablets should be swallowed whole with or without food but with water.  Taking it at the same time is recommended.  A double dose should not be taken in lieu of a missed dose.  HRT therapy is used to provide short term relief only from these symptoms and its intake should be periodically reviewed with your doctor.
