Uses

Eukroma Plus cream is used to remove the discoloration caused due to certain skin conditions. Aging skin suffers from age spots or liver spots which can be reduced by using this cream. Other problems like scars due to acne and freckles are also treated with this cream. Sometimes due to over exposure to the sun or as a side-effect of pregnancy or due to contraceptive hormones, it is possible that the skin on the face can become rather dark; this condition is called Melasma. Here again, creams with hydroquinone acetate and tretinoin are very effective.

Dosage And Administration

Before you use Eukroma Plus cream it is important to do a test to see if you are allergic to it. If there is no reaction for more than 24 hours then it is safe. Apply a thin layer of the cream on skin that is cleaned and dried. Rub it in well. Apply it at least twice a day for about four weeks.

It will take more than four weeks before you see any results. In case where after three weeks there is no lightening of the skin, then the use of hydroquinone acetate and tretinoin cream needs to be stopped. Once the cream is rubbed in well into the skin, you can use makeup or sunscreens if you so wish. Avoid the area around the eyes and mouth.

Side Effects

There are some side effects seen when Eukroma Plus is used. They are:

  • Contact dermatitis
  • Skin sensitivity such as burning or stinging
  • Dry or flaky skin
  • Mild rash
  • Hives or swelling

On very rare occasions constant use could cause exogenous ochronosis where a black/blue pigment develops on the skin.

Precautions

There are instances when Eukroma Plus should not be used.

  • When you are pregnant or breast feeding
  • If you are allergic to any of the components in the cream
  • Always inform your doctor if you are under any treatment for a kidney or liver ailment.

Of course it is best to use this cream under the supervision of a doctor.
