Nootropil is available in tablet form of the active ingredient Piracetam in 800 mg dosages in each tablet. It is prescribed for patients suffering from nervous system disorders like cortical-origin myoclonus and/or epilepsy. It can be used in combination with other drug therapies to fight this disease; it has also found some success in treating patients with cognitive disorders and/or dementia, especially in the elderly, like Alzheimer’s. It has been indicated for alcohol and withdrawal symptoms, vertigo, learning capabilities, stress, anxiety and depression.
Dosage and Administration
Nootropil is available in a tablet form of 800 mg dosage and is taken orally, usually with food and plenty of water. It is also advised to take this tablet whole without breaking it or chewing, as it has a bitter taste.
This medication may be taken 1 to 3 times daily, as advised by your physician, as the quantity is based on individual patient’s response to therapy. It is the doctor’s decision, based on treatment results, on how long the mediation needs to be taken, and the recommended dosage should never be exceeded.
