Meloset 3mg (Melatonin) helps to regulate the body’s internal clock and thus plays a big role in restoring sleep-wake cycles. It is used therefore to treat delayed sleep phase syndrome or DSPS, low blood platelets, and jet lag. It is used in children under strict medical supervision only to treat certain developmental disorders. It is very effective for insomnia that comes with ADHD. It is sometimes even used to treat Alzheimer’s disease, for menopause and birth control. It helps to boost the immune system and prevent cancer. It helps with withdrawal symptoms associated with smoking. Other uses are to treat infertility and to improve athletic performance. It is also very effective in treating cluster headaches.

Dosage and Administration

Meloset 3mg (Melatonin) is taken before bedtime as per the directions of a doctor. It is usually taken after food with a glass of water. Again the tablet should be swallowed whole without crushing or splitting.

Side effects

The most common side effects associated with Meloset 3mg are:

Drug Interactions with Melatonin

Nifedipine is known to react with melatonin. It increases the calming effects of Ambien, Klonopin, and Prozac. No other major interactions have really been reported so far.
