Aquazide (Hydrochlorothiazide) is a tablet form of Hydrochlorothiazide containing 25mg per tablet. It is prescribed to treat people for fluid retention, also known as edema. Fluid retention is a common issue in patients with liver cirrhosis, heart failure and disorders in the kidney. Edema is also a result of estrogen medication or steroid intake. The medicine works to eliminate excess fluid by preventing the absorption of excess salt.

Dosage and Administration
Aquazide 25 mg (Hydrochlorothiazide) is a tablet that should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. It can be taken without or with food. However, since the tablet aids in urination, it is best that you take the medication at least 4 hours before sleeping. It is crucial to consume lots of water and other fluids when taking Hydrochlorothiazide.

Dosage is dependent on your condition and will be advised by your doctor. Generally, the recommended dosage will be 25mg taken once daily. Even if symptoms disappear or reduce, it is necessary to complete the full dosage of medication. This is especially important to avoid symptoms of hypertension.

Side effects
Aquazide 25 mg (Hydrochlorothiazide) brings in certain side effects such as:
