Bimat Eye Drops is composed of 0.03% of the main ingredient, Bimatoprost and is used to treat patients with glaucoma. This reduces the pain in the eye and the intraocular pressure. It works by releasing the surplus fluids out from your eye naturally. When the eye pressure is regulated it helps in treating glaucoma and prevents blindness. The medication is also used in the treatment of Hypotrichosis or short eyelashes. It increases the length and thickness of your eyelashes.
Dosage and Administration
Before using Bimat Eye Drops shake the bottle well before use and wash both your hands. Before administration, contact lenses must be removed. If it is used for treating glaucoma, the patient’s head has to be tilted backwards and one drop of the medication is dispensed into the eye after lowering the lower eyelid. Soon after this, the eyes are closed and opened to help in spreading the drops evenly. The same procedure is repeated in the patient’s other eye if required.
The administration is slightly different for eyelash growth; applicator brushes have to be purchased for this purpose. However, do not touch the applicator tip with your bare hands; it can cause an infection. Bimat Eye Drops (a drop) is squeezed on the tip of the applicator and spread along the eyelash, moving onto the upper part of the eyelid. Do not use the drops on your lower eyelids. For eyelash growth, it will take at least two months of use for good results.
