Uses

Clofert 50 (50 mg) is a tablet that contains Clomifene Citrate as the active ingredient. It is used mainly to treat certain infertility problems in women under the supervision of a doctor. The main use of this drug is to induce the production of ova in women who have problems with ovulation. One such problem could be polycystic ovary syndrome. The drug is known as an ovary stimulant or non steroidal fertility medication. It works by stimulating the pituitary gland to release the hormone that is responsible for ovulation. In some cases, doctors also prescribe this drug for men to increase the production of sperm.

Dosage and Administration

Clofert 50 (50 mg) is to be swallowed with a glass of water. The tablet is usually taken once a day and it is started on Day 5 of the menstrual cycle. The typical duration is for 5 days. For men, the dosage is generally much smaller and it depends solely on the condition and need of the patient. The tablet can be taken with or without food.

The length of treatment and dosage for a woman is decided by your doctor, however, if you are ovulating but you are still not pregnant after 3 cycles of treatment, the doctor will reevaluate your situation.
