Main Use
Anxiety management

Active Ingredient
Buspirone Hydrochloride

Marketed Name
Buspin 5 mg

Buspin 5 mg contains the main ingredient called Buspirone Hydrochloride which helps in the treatment of anxiety disorders. It works by altering the action of certain neurotransmitters in your brain to reinstate mental balance. The medication is not like other anxiolytics in that it does not act as a muscle relaxant or anticonvulsant. It helps in treating anxiety symptoms for example, tension, fear and irritability.

Dosage and Administration

The usual dosage of Buspin is 10 to even 15 mg which can be split into two doses per day. If required, the dose can be raised in increments. Most patients respond well to a daily dose of 15 to 30 mg. However, over 60 mg of Buspirone Hydrochloride should not be taken daily. The tablet can be taken with a glassful of water before or after food; however, it should be taken consistently. Dosage adjustments should not be done on your own. Moreover, the medication should not be stopped abruptly as it can cause withdrawal symptoms.

Taking Buspin 5 mg can result in side effects for some patients; these include the following:

  • dizziness and drowsiness
