A-Ret Gel 0.1% (Tretinoin) is a gel form of Tretinoin containing 0.1% per tube. The gel works by unblocking pores to facilitate natural functioning of oil glands. The result is lesser acne and blackheads. The gel works to alleviate acne but not cure it entirely. The medicine also has other functions. Patients are known to use the gel for minimizing wrinkles and improving overall skin appearance.

Dosage and Administration


A-Ret Gel 0.1% (Tretinoin) is a gel that should be applied topically on the skin. Make sure to wash your hands and the affected area thoroughly using a mild soap, before application. Let the skin air-dry and then follow up with gel application. Massage the gel into the skin until completely absorbed. It is important to note that Tretinoin may aggravate skin condition initially since it is working on the root cause. Subsequently, the skin will adjust to treatment.

Dosage is dependent on your condition and will be advised by your doctor. Generally, the recommended dosage will be 0.1% applied, once daily. The exact dosage also depends on patient’s response to the treatment.

Side effects
A-Ret Gel 0.1% (Tretinoin) brings in certain side effects such as:

  • use herbal supplements and products
  • are breastfeeding

Tretinoin may be present in breast milk. Do not take this medicine without informing your physician, if you are already breastfeeding. Avoid contact with mouth or eyes as it can irritate sensitive area. Since the gel increases skin sensitivity to light, wear sunscreen before stepping into sunlight. Usage of regular cosmetics is permitted. However, ensure that the other creams have any of the following ingredients mentioned below.
